Here are the Details -

Position:    Licensed Mental Health Professional

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Location: Nisqually Correctional Facility

Pay Rate: $65,145-$111,508/year

Responsibilities:

  • Collect information about patients through interview, case history review, and/or observational techniques; evaluate data to identify focus of treatment interventions and determine proper therapeutic approach or referral to other specialists

  • Provide crisis management, and/or short-term solution-focused therapy to patients as appropriate; provide therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required

  • Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and appropriate interventions

  • Initiate an interdisciplinary treatment plan and participate in the ongoing treatment planning process

  • Consult with other mental health practitioners, healthcare staff and correctional professionals, as appropriate in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework

  • Document patient’s activities and progress

  • Follow up to determine reliability of treatment used; change treatment interventions when indicated

  • Participate in the review of clinical issues and program policies and procedures

  • Follow established policies, procedures, professional standards, all federal, state and local guidelines, continuous quality improvement and safety, environmental, and infection control standards

  • Will adhere to MEDIKO’s Standards of Professional Conduct

  • Respond to requests from correctional staff as well as MEDIKO Staff in accordance with MEDIKO and Facility Guidelines.  This includes following the rules and regulations for employee conduct/behavior and chain of command set forth by the command staff at all times while working within the detention/correctional facility

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Licensed Mental Health Professional, or License-eligible (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)

  • Current active and unencumbered State License

  • Current CPR/BLS certification
