Summary:
The Teaching Assistant will assist General Chemistry faculty by attending Science Hours and other study sessions, providing peer-to-peer assistance, instruction, and tutoring.
Essential Functions:
Attend Science Hours on Wednesdays from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
The assistant should assist with problem-solving strategies.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
6 expected hours per week.
Federal Work Study.
Salary Range:
$18 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Completed General Chemistry I & II with a B or better.
Completed Organic Chemistry I & II with a B or better.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred, including but not limited to, supplemental instructor for any course.
