Instrument IIJob Summary:
Provide support and coordination regarding instrument management functions to include purchasing, inventory, repair, maintenance and tracking system management. This individual must also ensure a collaborative working relationship with vendors and manage instrumentation for multiple departments. He/She must be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. He/She must be extremely organized and detail oriented and have the ability to understand and interpret complex situations, evaluate problems, and make appropriate recommendations. He/She must take ownership of responsibilities and act proactively on behalf of the organization, ensuring that commitments are met.Shift Hours:
7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Monday-Friday

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages instrumentation, device and product purchasing and inventory
- Manages instrument and device repair as well as maintenance program
- Orders instruments and products as needed
- Developing relationships with outside vendors
- Demonstrates and understands principles of sterilization in preparing items for OR and clinic use. Operates all sterilization and HLD equipment according to manufacture requirements and departmental policies.
- Receive and send out instruments/devices
TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
- Inventory Control (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of inventory control in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
- Surgical Equipment Knowledge (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of the equipment and related devices. Has solid knowledge of performance criteria. Able to use the equipment to accomplish advanced tasks associated with the specific devices. Easily resolves equipment problems.
- Equipment Maintenance (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of preventive maintenance in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully maintaining equipment, products, or systems without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to conduct predictive maintenance on core products and equipment.
- Environmental Sterility & Safety (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of environmental sterility and safety in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering environmental sterility and safety services without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving technical instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
