- Define and develop optimized network monitoring, automation systems, and network architectures.
- Participate in technical decisions to improve the network landscape.
- Help create and improve both existing and future monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation systems.
- Perform network configuration changes and optimizations across a multivendor, multiprotocol environment.
- Work on performance measurement to ensure improved efficiency and process automation.
- Build out datacenter and POP network footprint, including commissioning routers and switches into the network.
- Turn up new backbone fiber optic capacity across the globe and implement security policy in secure environments.
- Diagnose network problems, identify root causes, and carry out remediation solutions.
- Scale Facebook’s global network to meet demands by building new infrastructure, implementing new architectures, and developing new operational procedures.
- Build and configure network deployment strategies for datacenter network capacity augments as well new system migrations.
- Master's in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Foreign equivalent accepted.
Requires completion of one graduate-level course, one research project, or one internship involving the following skills: - 1. Scripting/Coding in Python or C++
- 2. Linux or Unix operating system fundamentals
- 3. TCP/IP Network fundamentals
- 4. Network device configuration
- 5. Network Design.
