General Notes
CHEER would like the position for 18 months total from the date of hire.
Purpose
Provide part time administrative support to the Center for Health and Environment, Education and Research.
Responsibilities
SEMINAR SERIES - Coordinate and manage the logistics of the CHEER seminar series.
CALENDAR – Coordinate and manage CHEER calendar meetings.
LISTSERV and MEMBERSHIP- manage the CHEER listserv and membership.
PILOT PROJECT PROPOSALS – Coordinate the call for pilot project proposals, proposal reviews, and disbursement of funds.
NEWSLETTER & WEBSITE – Oversee development and publishing of newsletter and liaises with Dell Med comms office for changes to the website.
OTHER ACTIVITIES – provide support for other CHEER activities as needed.
Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school/GED and 3 years of clerical experience including 1 year experience at the senior office assistant level. Effective communicator with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. Highly detail-oriented. Professional demeanor with tact and respect at all times. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs: PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel etc. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience at UT Austin. Experience in health care delivery or related setting. Experience in academia, health care delivery or biomedical research.
Salary Range
$17.00/hour + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions
May work around standard office conditions.
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
Use of manual dexterity.
Occasional weekend, overtime and evening work to meet deadlines.
