Job Mission
ASML is the world’s leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. This position is for a First Line Support Production Engineer to work in the Production Engineering department in Wilton Factory, CT. The candidate will work with cross-sector employees & teams to provide rapid responses to resolve engineering disturbance notices related. In addition, the candidate will perform engineering steps listed in the production operator dashboard (POD) to support output.
Job Description
Spends 75% of time in the Cleanroom supporting production processes and leading troubleshooting actions
Troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues in a timely & efficient manner
Troubleshoot Glass-to-Metal bonding in a timely & efficient manner
Ability to safely and effectively work with epoxy debonding tools, heat guns and fume hoods
Ability to use cleaning solvents safely, per EHS guidelines, to troubleshoot and remove product contamination
Troubleshoot tooling & test stand issues in a timely & efficient manner
Troubleshoot module test and final qual issues in a timely & efficient manner
The ability to troubleshoot multi-disciplinary test equipment (Hardware/Software/Electrical/Servo) is a plus
The ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical modules and subassemblies is a plus
The ability to troubleshoot optical surfaces against defined Scratch-Dig specs is a plus
Support analysis on test data and derive conclusions
Develop OCAPs, Fishbones and troubleshooting guidelines
Support diagnostics qualification and implementation for production staff
Evaluate and disposition failed parts with proposed solutions
Support development of Manufacturing procedures and technical work instructions
Support design and document reviews for diagnostics
Support DOA root cause analysis
Support cycle time and labor hours roadmaps implementation
Support PFMEA
Able to read mechanical, electrical and optical drawings
The employee is willing to provide occasionally weekend coverage
The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment:
full gowning (full body coveralls, hood, CR safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves and safety glasses. Working under ISO 9000/14000 standards).
Working around overhead cranes, fork trucks and motorized pallet movers.
Working with or around lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals.
Education & Work Experience
Master Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics with 0-2 years of work experience
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics with 2-4 years of experience in a technical production environment
Additional Skills & Work Experience
Must display a solid understanding of complicated manufacturing assemblies
Working knowledge with mechanical diagrams and technical specification documents.
Working knowledge of servo and mechanical control systems
Working knowledge with complicated multi-disciplinary (Electro-Mechanical) assembly is a plus
Working knowledge and experience with integrated Hardware/Software testers
Experience in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux/Python/ or MATLAB software languages is a plus
Experience in the field of technical Production Engineering and quality methodology such as statistical process control and FMEA is a plus
Working knowledge of NX, Teamcenter, SAP and Twinscan software is a plus
Working knowledge with vacuum syst
