About the role

Bond Vet is on a mission to strengthen the human-animal bond through better pet care. We offer primary and urgent care, so we’re there for pets when they need us most. Our clinics are designed with pets and people in mind: warm, friendly, and highly sniffable. We balance this design with a strong focus on technology, all built in-house, which means we can easily innovate our systems to improve the veterinary team, pet, and client experience.

Bond Vet is building the next generation of veterinary clinics from the ground up — and we’re looking for a motivated Associate Director, L&D to join our team.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader who is passionate about fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering learning and development programs that empower our clinic teams to provide top-tier care. You’ll work closely with clinic leadership and team members to ensure that our learning strategies are aligned with the day-to-day needs of our clinics and reflect Bond Vet’s mission, vision, and values.

What You’ll Do:

  • Clinic-Centric Approach: Develop and execute an L&D strategy tailored to the specific needs of our clinics, ensuring that learning initiatives enhance the skills and capabilities of our site teams.
  • Program Development: Design, implement, and evaluate engaging L&D programs that address the unique challenges of a multi-site veterinary network. Emphasize practical, hands-on learning experiences that support clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Systems Management: Manage our Learning Management System (LMS) and other relevant tools to ensure they are user-friendly for clinic staff, up-to-date, and fully integrated into daily operations.
  • Needs Assessment: Regularly assess the learning needs of our clinic teams by gathering feedback from frontline staff, clinic managers, and other stakeholders. Use this data to identify skill gaps and prioritize learning initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with clinic leadership and other key stakeholders to align L&D efforts with operational goals, driving measurable improvements in team performance and patient outcomes.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the L&D budget with a focus on cost-effective learning solutions that deliver a strong return on investment for our clinics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on the latest trends and best practices in clinical L&D. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance our programs to better serve our clinics and their teams.

You Have:

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful L&D programs.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Technically proficient with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to innovate and think outside the box.
  • Ability to lead by influence
  • Be successful in both strategic thinking as well as “doing the work”- as this team does not currently have any direct reports

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development Function
  • 2+ years in a leadership position strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the veterinary medicine, healthcare, retail or other multi-site industry

We Offer:

  • Support for your physical and mental wellness: medical, dental & vision plan options and access to mental health support programs
  • Time for you and loved ones: great PTO, fully paid parental leave over your time at Bond Vet, discounted Bond Vet services for pets
  • Dedication to your financial future: competitive pay, 401k with partial company match, commuter benefits.
  • A place to grow: culture that is centered in learning and development, career pathing, mentorships, empowerment and trust

Compensation will fall between $140,000 - $150,000 annually based on experience
