A Day in the Life
As an RN, Program Nurse in our Residential Treatment and Emergency Shelter (RTES) program, you’ll ensure youth in crisis receive timely and respectful medical care. You’ll conduct health screenings, triage and treat residents, support medication administration, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote healing and safety.
How This Position Contributes to our Mission
• Perform initial and ongoing health assessments for residents and make appropriate referrals
• Administer medications and make ordered changes per provider direction
• Educate and support team members and clients on medication protocols and wellness
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure continuity of care
• Serve as a liaison between providers, staff, and families for coordinated treatment
RN, Program Nurse Skills and Qualifications
• Must hold an active and unencumbered RN license in Kentucky
• Graduate of an approved nursing program
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Experience with trauma-informed care and working with children preferred
Work Schedule
• Evening Shift - 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts
