What will you do?

A day in the life of a Human Resources Business Partner at Vans looks a little like this.

The Human Resources Business Partner supports the retail field organization by providing guidance and driving the implementation of key HR initiatives that align with business objectives. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance talent strategies, drive engagement, and promote a growth mindset culture of continuous improvement. Serves as a trusted advisor and change agent within the field organization

  • Culture and Employee Experience Driver: Act as an advocate for the company’s culture and values, supporting leaders in fostering inclusive, high-performing teams. Implement HR programs that promote engagement, retention, and a consistent employee experience across retail locations.​
  • Learning Facilitation: Facilitate training and development programs to enhance managerial and team capabilities.​
  • Org Development: Identify development opportunities for team members. Support talent reviews and succession planning processes to build a pipeline of future leaders. ​
  • Workforce Planning: Partner with field leaders to implement workforce planning. Help field leaders align team structures and processes with business goals to improve performance.​
  • Change Management: Assist in executing programs to ensure smooth adoption of new processes or organizational initiatives.​
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from the field to provide insights to HR leadership, contributing to the design and refinement of policies and programs.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3+ years of HR experience, ideally in a multi-unit retail, hospitality, or customer-focused environment. Exposure to workforce planning, talent development, and HR program implementation preferred. This role requires up to 35% travel to retail locations within the assigned region.

  • Demonstrate initiative in identifying opportunities for improvement and collaborating with others to implement solutions
