MEP Project Engineer Intern

Job Summary: 
The Project Engineer “Intern” assists the Project Management Staff while training for a Project Manager’s position.  This is an exempt position and reports to the MEP Chief Engineer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Project Engineering, HVAC designs, Load Calculations, Selection of  Equipment, Air Balancing, Cost Estimation utilizing Autocad MEP

Revit and Trace.

 

Assist Project Management staff in making contact and researching customer needs

• Develop and maintain relationships with ASI clients
• Establish long-term , ongoing relationships with ASI clients
• Learn estimating techniques and software programs
• Learn HVAC engineering techniques and related software programs (heating & cooling loads, fluid & air transfer, equipment specification and selection)
• Assist Project Management Staff in supporting clients, managing multiple projects, procuring equipment, and generating design drawings
• Learn construction project job-costing and accounting principles
• Generate design drawings & compile permit documents

Qualifications: 
Pursuing BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Experience within Design/Builds HVAC - MEP Construction
• Proficient on MS Office Suite
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Excellent customer relations skills
