Leidos is seeking a Windows Server Administrator to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSA’s Digital Modernization Strategy. Join one of our high performing teams responsible for building the next-generation enterprise APIs and modern responsive user interfaces, supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA) and their mission to meet the changing needs of the public, positively impacting at least 65 million American lives per month. We are a team of forward-looking professionals in need of a strong candidate with these key required skills: Windows server administration, Network knowledge (e.g.: active directory, etc.), Active Directory, Microsoft PowerShell, Microsoft Windows operating systems to deploy, manage, and support applications and services, Security Management, System Administration, Configuration, Deployment, and Engineering Systems Support, Troubleshooting, Virtualization

*** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD
*** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week.

- Administer Active Directory to manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across the network.
- Utilize Microsoft PowerShell scripting to automate IT tasks and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Utilize Microsoft operating systems to deploy, manage, and support applications and services, ensuring system reliability and user productivity.
- Oversee security measures to protect the organization from possible threats. Identify security requirements and risks and develop mitigation policies.
- Manage server infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance, and security of organizational systms and applications.
- Brief management, customer, team, or vendors using written or oral skills at an appropriate technical level for the audience.
- Prepare or update documentation as needed.
- Independently and/or collaboratively research problems and provide solutions.
- All other duties as assigned or directed.
FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract require
