Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Experienced Procurement Analyst to join our Value Stream Integration Organization in North Charleston, South Carolina.

This is an opportunity to become fully immersed in the 787 Dreamliner Supply Chain function and develop a strong integration across multiple functions (i.e., Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain). This role will involve a deep understanding of the integration of the supply chain, our internal 787 production system or both. This opportunity will develop the cross-functional understanding of the extended 787 value stream while delivering improvements to our operational teammates and supplier alike. It is an opportunity to apply project management and problem-solving skills with a focus on the stabilization and health of supply chain for 787 program.  This opportunity requires strong leadership attributes, to inspire and motivate others; with the ability to clearly communicate to leadership across the organization with a One Boeing mindset.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to mitigate risk and resolve issues to high-risk items within the 787 supply chain
  • Communicate strategic initiatives, projects or procurement activities to key functions within Boeings international supply chain and manufacturing teams
  • Lead development of processes and tools to measure key performance indicators to improve the integration between supply chain and the 787 factories
  • Leads cross-functional process management activities with the factory production system and supplier alike
  • Leads problem solving activities with cross functional teams, to identify and implement corrective action
  • Perform integration activities across functions, including coordinating Supply Chain aspects of the change management process, ensuring parts plans are in place for emergent production requirements, and applying the Boeing Problem Solving Model to solve complex Supply Chain issues

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain management analysis or materials management analysis
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Word
  • 3+ years of experience using strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • 3+ years of experience using and participating in Project Management Methodologies, including developing project plans, managing issues and risks


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working in the Boeing internal production system
  • Experience working in Contracts & Pricing and/or Supplier Management Procurement
  • 3+ years of experience with industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or an equivalent such as SAP (System Applications and Product
  • Exposure and use of BPSM toolkit


Typical Education/ Experience:

Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
