We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Program Manager to lead and manage a portfolio of research and development initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and executing projects, researching cutting edge technologies and innovations, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring that scoping, resourcing, scheduling, and budgets are on point. This role reports to the Sr. Director of R&D and oversees an R&D team that includes PhD researchers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers and you will work closely with the Product team as well as leadership. You will have the opportunity to shape the products, projects, and processes of a rapidly growing and innovative distributed company.

Requirements

Essential Functions - a/k/a Your Mission

• You will help oversee the day-to-day tasks of the R&D team following workflows, working with various stakeholders in our Product, Data Science, Engineering and Innovation
• Be the main point of contact between the R&D, Product and Engineering teams to help facilitate and ensure timely delivery of product deliverables
• Work closely with our Leadership team to build a robust research program
• Help build, document and codify best practices as we help build out our program management efforts across the company

Great to Haves

• Proven work experience as an Program Manager in Artificial Intelligence Research or similar role with ideally 5+ years of experience
• Must be smart, creative, and have cognitive flexibility to develop creative approaches to solving customer problems.
• Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems
• Communication skills for partnering with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Detail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problems
• Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, projects, and schedules simultaneously
• Working with engineering team and multiple stakeholders with diverse experiences
• Someone who understands when to be patient when working with stakeholders and when to push to get a product delivered on time, especially for Fortune 500 clients
• Passionate about working at an innovative startup and wants to make an impact right away
• Experience with JIRA, GitHub
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
