The Air Defense Ground Equipment Mechanical Design Department is responsible for the mechanical design, development, and integration of critical defense platform systems.This includes radar and communications shelters, electronic subsystems, launchers, hardware integration, and system interconnects.

We are currently seeking a motivated and driven Mechanical Engineer I to join our Ground Equipment Design Team. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, mechanical hardware design experience, system integration skills, and a strong background in program execution and production support. As a key contributor on a mechanical or cross-functional engineering team, you will be responsible for component and assembly modeling, documentation, design changes, and release processes.

The position is for an ON-SITE role within the ADGE Team in Tewksbury, MA/Andover, MA with starts in August 2026 or later.

What You Will Do

  • Training and application of RTX tools including CREO and PDM
  • Design and Documentation support utilizing engineering tools, Adobe, and MS office suite.
  • Engineering Change and Drawing Release
  • Collaboration with coworkers and cross-functional teams
  • Analytical and Technical engineering work within a program environment with possible presentations on designs as needed
  • Training on Raytheon processes and procedures

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Experience with Engineering Projects or Internship experience
  • Experience working within 3D design tools (ex. Solidworks, CREO, NX Siemens)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office or other presentation tools
  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience
