Maintenance Mechanic

Work Shift:

Day - 8 Hour (United States of America)

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, performs various duties related to repairs, replacement and
general maintenance of equipment and fixtures located at Houston Healthcare WR and
its related buildings.
II. Qualifications:
A. Education & Training:
High School graduate or GED equivalent.
B. Experience:
Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility and/or building maintenance
(or related); or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Valid Georgia driver’s license. Acceptable MVR history to meet and maintain
insurance requirements must be met in order to drive HHC vehicles. CPT training
within 9 months of hire.
D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Utilizes a variety of equipment to include grinder, drill press, pressure washer,
generator, band saw, power and hand tools, hospital vehicles, and some medical equipment. Also knowledgeable about electricity 120 volts and 277 volts. Must have basic knowledge of computers and an aptitude to learn different programs tied to equipment we service.

Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
