Job Description

Join the Design Automation group in Irvine, California responsible for developing custom Process Design Kits for Cadence and ADS. The Design Automation Staff Engineer will be responsible for;

• PDK Development, including developing PCells and DRC
• Design Flow Automation using Cadence Skill 
• Supporting designers with layout issues
• Interface with our internal fabs
• Design Management using Cliosoft 

Job Requirements:     

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering
• A minimum of 6 years of job experience (or Bachelors and 8 years experience)
• Cadence PDK development and SKILL programming experience a plus
• Linux Shell scripting
• Good interpersonal communication and analytical skills
• Highly motivated with excellent team spirit, strong ownership and openness

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $110,600 - $210,600 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
