About the Role

We are looking for a Production Leader to join our Leadership Team in Phoenix who will be responsible for directly leading a team that manufactures commercialized product, including manufacturing operators and Area Leads.

The first day Production Leader is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing production team to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. This role requires a strong focus on coaching, team engagement, operational discipline, and the application of lean manufacturing principles. As a key leader on day shift, this position sets the tone for a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Day shift hours are Monday – Thursday, 5:00 am– 3:30 pm.  The day shift Production Leader is expected to spend a majority of their working time during the day shift hours. This position is located in Phoenix, Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all production area activities including daily management and metrics, safety, quality, and delivery objectives achieved through high presence in the production area (30% minimum)
• Responsible for the performance and development (P&D) of individuals and team to include time approval, performance management, contribution and compensation (C&C)
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, yield, and quality
• Optimize resources as it relates to staffing, and equipment, in addition to achieving productivity and cost goals to ensure efficiency and business continuity
• Model and promote the Gore Business System (GBS) approach to apply lean manufacturing tools such as daily management, 6S, standard work, structured problem solving, and root cause analysis
• Ensure all environmental health and safety requirements are met and documented through incident management and investigation
