Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supervisor for our Wafer Manufacturing operations in Fremont, United States. In this critical role, you will lead and oversee the wafer production process, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and output in our state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and coordinate daily wafer manufacturing operations, optimizing production schedules and resource allocation
- Monitor and maintain strict quality control standards throughout the wafer fabrication process
- Analyze production data and implement process improvements to enhance yield and efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with clean room protocols and safety regulations
- Manage and mentor a team of technicians and operators, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Liaise with equipment vendors and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance
- Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, quality indicators, and team performance to senior management
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in wafer manufacturing
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in wafer manufacturing, with a proven track record in a supervisory role
- Advanced knowledge of wafer manufacturing processes and semiconductor fabrication technologies
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting semiconductor manufacturing equipment
- Strong understanding of clean room protocols and safety procedures
- Expertise in quality control, yield management, and statistical process control (SPC)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing and developing teams
SKILLS
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in manufacturing execution systems (MES) and relevant software tools
- Six Sigma certification is preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by production demands
