Nutrition Services Assistant - Retail

In this role, you will support the team in keeping items stocked and maintained at appropriate temperatures, help with questions and support the check-out process. All the while, we’ll provide you with opportunities to keep advancing your career. 

A PRN caregiver in this position works varying hours between 6:00AM – 8:00PM, including rotating weekends and holidays, depending on business needs. 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Perform a variety of duties related to the set-up, delivery and food service. 

• Assist with daily dietary requests and needs of patients, visitors and caregivers.  

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.  

• Prepare, set up and replenish steam table, salad bar, cooler, baker’s racks, coffee area, condiments and silverware throughout the meal period.  

• Make pizzas to order and maintain all ingredients.  

• Set up and support catering events.  

• Maintain the register and proper cash handling with overages/shortages of less than 1.5% of total drawer.  

• Ensure proper food temperature using calibrated thermometers.  

• Rotate, prepare and label all leftover food.  

• Set up, serve and collect dinner patient trays.
