As a Security Officer - flex Data Center Driver in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile patrols and response. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech, media, and/or telecommunications location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, data halls, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing employees, contractors, and visitors according to site requirements.
  • Monitor alarm panels, cameras, and other building systems when assigned, and report abnormal conditions and/or potential hazards to the appropriate contacts.
  • Complete routine patrol and incident documentation, including daily activity reports and shift hand-off notes, in accordance with site policies.
  • Support security-related screening and key, badge, and/or visitor pass procedures as assigned, including logging entries and exits.
  • Assist with emergency and non-emergency situations such as medical calls, fire alarms, and weather events by following post orders and guiding people to designated areas.
  • Maintain a professional presence and communicate clearly with client personnel, vendors, and visitors while enforcing site rules in a courteous manner.
  • Participate in required training and remain familiar with site-specific protocols, including confidentiality expectations common to technology-focused environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
