You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the establishment, administration, and oversight of a variety of security and training programs in the following areas: Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security, Information Security (INFOSEC), Security Education, Training & Awareness (SETA), Visitor Control, and Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) Physical Security; interpreting and disseminating security policies and procedures; and providing guidance, oversight, or leadership to subordinates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-12). Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
