Bucknell University is seeking a Procurement Services Assistant to provide general administrative support for the Procurement Office, by assisting with office procedures on a day-to-day basis. The Procurement Services Assistant will utilize university systems to prepare requisitions and purchase orders; provide training to campus departments on the reconciliation and purchasing process; and act as a liaison with university partners and suppliers, while upholding policies and procedures. This position requires good communication skills, and previous experience with purchasing is desired.Job Duties:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Procurement:
Substantial knowledge and use of Workday, with emphasis on Workday requisitions and purchase orders.
Purchase order follow through, and expediting of orders.
Serve as campus liaison to resolve purchasing discrepancies while maintaining Bucknell policies and procedures.
Assist departments with questions related to daily requisition preparation and entry.
Reconciliation of Bucknell procurement office credit card accounts and invoice processing
Communication & Training:
Communicate with suppliers, obtain accurate quotes, provide research and order assistance.
Provide campus departments with training (one on one and groups), and technical assistance.
Responsible for personal and procurement email and other office communications.
Other duties as assigned: Participates in all aspects of program and department planning and in the establishment of department goals and objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma
3 to 5 years previous general office experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Gmail, Google apps and general business accounting.
Ability to handle a busy reception area and the Zoom telephone system therein; transfer calls, take messages and assist all callers.
Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.
Interface directly and seamlessly with other areas of campus.
Detail oriented, well organized and possess excellent customer service skills.
High level of accuracy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates or Bachelor Degree in a business field
Previous buying experience preferred
5 to 10 years previous general office experience
A working knowledge of the basic tenets of purchasing
Knowledge of ERP systems and Workday a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in an office setting, with or without accommodations, to include: sitting, standing, moving about the office and campus, prolonged work at a computer.
Requires occasional lifting of packages (not exceeding 25 lbs.) and carrying them up and down stairs.

20.00-23.00The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
