Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is looking for an experienced finance professional to help scale and drive our Sales organization to new heights. Leveraging a strong understanding of our operating model and long-term goals, you will be a trusted partner to the business and contribute to our overall strategy.

As a member of the Sales Finance team, you will be the primary finance point of contact for our WW Sales Enablement, Strategy, and Sales Operations organizations. You will help bring finance rigor and advice to these teams, supporting their budgets, diligencing their investments, and acting as a partner in both driving and supporting new strategies.

You have excellent rapport with the Business Leaders you support and are familiar with what’s going on in the business.  You are a pro in headcount, opex, T&E, and capex forecasting, and skillfully leverage data to create analyses. You are knowledgeable of the company policies, financial operations, understand accounting implications, and are able to provide the Business with sound financial advice as well as help streamline processes for efficiency and effectiveness.  You take pride in collaborating with the business and cross-functionally to improve the way work is done and instill operational rigor and discipline.  You are a trusted advisor to the business.

You are a self-starter with strong analytical skills and an operational mindset, an effective communicator, and a leader passionate for driving changes in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

Your Impact

  • Provide financial guidance and strategic partnership to the SVPs of WW Sales Enablement, Strategy & Sales Ops, and other central Sales Leaders who report to the President of the company, and their orgs
  • Own annual planning and monthly budgeting / forecasting / reporting, ensuring organizational alignment with overall PANW business objectives, judicious use of investment resources, and accountability for outcomes
  • Develop metrics and publish regular quantitative and qualitative analyses of financial results, ensuring key issues, risks, and business drivers are understood and highlighted with relevant insights
  • Ensure prudence and financial rigor / ROI analysis on program funds management and opex
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships, becoming a trust advisor to the business and leading through influence - break down complex business dynamics with structured analysis, identify opportunities for growth, and deliver recommendations
  • Drive and provide support for ad-hoc strategic and financial analyses
  • Coach, mentor, and manage a direct report in support of the above activities
  • Collaborate as well as mentor colleagues in India, as we build our offshore muscle

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Bachelors in an analytical field (e.g. Business, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field) - advanced degree/MBA preferred or equivalent military experience required
  • 7+ years, at-minimum, of prior finance experience - Prior roles in Sales Finance, FP&A, and management reporting and analytics required - Experience in system implementations, UAT, process improvements, and leading cross functional teams highly desired - Big 4 accounting experience, a plus
  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills - Strong Excel user who is comfo
