Job Description:  

This is Supervisory work in performing difficult and moderately complex duties in managing a portfolio of Large Culvert & Bridge Culvert Projects for the Maine Department of Transportation. 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• The management, development, and delivery of MaineDOT's infrastructure for a significant number and variety of moderately complex, large culvert & bridge culvert projects statewide.
• Develop simplification and consistency of the large culvert & bridge culvert design statewide.
• Maintaining project budgets and authorizing, monitoring, and controlling expenditures,
• Making project adjustments,
• Allocating resources, and 
• Authoring work by state forces, vendors, consultants, and contractors. 

Supervision is exercised over subordinate technical personnel & Consultants performing moderately complex tasks.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

Registered as a Professional Engineer and at least one (1) year of project management experience at the professional level -OR- 12 years of technical engineering experience with at least three years of project management experience.

Preference will be given to those with a Professional Engineers License.
