Description
Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for a visiting assistant professor of American Studies for academic year 2025-26. The position is potentially renewable for academic year 2026-27. The area of specialization is open but candidates with a background in comparative ethnic studies are especially encouraged to apply. The teaching load will be 3-2 plus senior thesis advising. Ph.D. in American Studies is preferred but related disciplines will be considered. Ph.D. is required by start date.

The salary for this position will range from $65,700 to $73,000 and will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialist, and training.
