Shift: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3pm
The Warehouse Lead will support the Warehouse Supervisor by providing direction and support of daily tasks to other Warehouse Associates to ensure . The lead will also support daily work by performing the job duties of a Warehouse Associate routinely as needed.
Key Accountabilities:
- Perform job duties of Warehouse Associates
- Proficiently perform all warehouse tasks that include shipping, receiving, picking, put away, loading, and inventory counts.
- Understand and follow warehouse processes, work instructions, and guidelines.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, which includes, standup lift, forklift, stock picker, compactors, wrap machine, etc
- Identify and resolve general problems concerning warehouse process and procedures related to picking, put away, loading, shipping, receiving, inventory, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area; oversee all warehouse housekeeping tasks.
- Assist in performing general maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Follow all quality and safety standards.
- May be asked to assist production as needed
- Plan and organize tasks and staff to ensure safety, efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify issues that may lead to safety hazards, inaccurate inventory, and inefficiencies and take prompt corrective action to resolve such issues.
- Provide training and direction to employees to ensure processes and expectations are understood.
- Respond to questions and concerns from employees, maintain open communication and foster a positive work environment.
- Assist Supervisor by monitoring, auditing, and enforcing procedures related to safety, quality, accuracy, and productivity.
- Recommend continuous improvements to the department and workflow.
- Independently initiate approved improvements within the department.
- Assist in the documentation and development of SOP and work instructions.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous shipping, receiving, and/or warehouse experience.
- Previous Lead or Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to lead by example, communicate openly, motivate and support employees, and have a team approach toward work.
- Ability to regularly lift 20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform measurements using rulers and tape measures and perform basic arithmetic.
- Ability to read, interpret and explain production and warehouse paperwork, work instructions and guidelines to a diverse workforce.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to pass and maintain Forklift certification. Prior Forklift experience a must, stand up preferred.
- Basic level computer skills, experience using of MRP/ERP preferred.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
Work Environment
- Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, reach and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment
- Temperature fluctuations with dock doors opening and closing
