The Construction Cost Analyst will utilize systems like ProCore and Yardi to organize project cost information, support invoice and contract processing, and help ensure accurate, timely reporting on construction performance. Essential Job Functions

  • Analyze construction costs and review project performance metrics to ensure alignment with approved budgets and schedules.

  • Work within ProCore (Construction Management Tool) and Yardi (ERP system) to manage and track construction spend and cost data.

  • Assist in reviewing and organizing contractor pay applications (G702/G703); prior experience with these forms is not required but preferred.

  • Coordinate and maintain documentation such as lien waivers and insurance certificates, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

  • Develop and maintain data sets related to construction costs and vendor performance.

  • Align construction spend data with project schedules to support forecasting and financial accuracy.

  • Conduct site visits to assess material delivery (e.g., steel, concrete) and validate work-in-place billing against progress.

  • Collaborate with construction teams, vendors, banks, and lenders to ensure transparency, compliance, and financial accountability.

  • Perform forensic reviews of cost and billing data to identify inconsistencies or discrepancies.

  • Support the preparation of reports and insights for internal stakeholders based on data gathered from systems and field analysis.

  • Participate in project meetings and site walkthroughs to gain context and provide cost-related insights.

  • Provide support to project and finance teams on budgeting, reconciliation, and compliance-related issues.

Additional Duties:

  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in construction, cost analysis, or financial operations preferred but not required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ProCore and Yardi is strongly preferred.

  • Basic understanding of construction cost concepts and job cost accounting principles.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including project managers, vendors, and financial stakeholders.
