Responsibilities

The Data Manager is responsible for providing nursing-focused data analytics, performance reporting, and quality measurement to support patient experience, quality outcomes, age-friendly initiatives, and oncology service line performance. This role partners closely with nursing leadership, clinical operations, and quality teams to deliver actionable insights, support regulatory and accreditation readiness, and drive data-informed decision-making across nursing services.

 

 

Gather data from various sources, including Press Ganey patient satisfaction surveys, Meditech databases, and cancer-specific patient records.

Utilize statistical and data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in patient experience, quality data, and clinical outcomes within the cancer care program.

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize cancer care data findings for stakeholders.

Conduct comparative analyses against internal benchmarks and external industry standards, including cancer-specific performance metrics.

Translate data analysis into actionable insights and recommendations for improvements in cancer care services and patient experience.

Present findings to leadership, oncology teams, clinicians, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Accountable for the organization’s Age-Friendly Health System initiatives by collecting, analyzing, and reporting data aligned with the 4Ms framework: What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility.

Develop and maintain dashboards and scorecards to track age-friendly nursing metrics.

Partner with nursing leadership and quality teams to monitor performance on age-friendly measures and identify opportunities for improvement.

Responsible for conducting trend and gap analyses related to care of the older adult population across nursing units.

Responsible internal and external reporting requirements related to age-friendly designation, recognition, or quality benchmarks.

Translate age-friendly data findings into actionable insights to improve nursing workflows, documentation practices, and patient outcomes.

Assures preparation for age-friendly assessments, surveys, and regulatory reviews through accurate data validation and reporting.

Accountable for data standardization and data integrity for age-friendly measures across nursing services.

 

Quality Improvement:

Responsible for cancer-specific quality improvement initiatives by providing data-driven support and monitoring progress in oncology patient care.
