Reports to: Manager, Technology

Location: Holland, Michigan

Summary:

  • As a Technology Engineer you will distribute resources in accordance with the production/shipment
  • plan, ensure the safety of the workplace, perform production activities by optimizing the
  • process/equipment, and manage/improve the production related results (e.g. Yield, OEE)

Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations
  • Check production progress management in accordance with the production plan
  • Feedback to Technology. Management Dept. when problems related to production progress occur
  • NCR: Non-conformance Report, handling and improvement
  • Yield management (Improving productivity and improving production loss)
  • OEE management (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) : Efficiency management for material replacement, production preparation, and PD
  • Perform internal and customer audits
  • Perform company document preparation related to process/procedures: SOP, PFD CP
  • Develop Production Engineer's Competency
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
  • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
  • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience

 

Experience:

  • 2-3+ years of experience in continuous improvement or manufacturing in a highly automated

and/or automotive engineering environment

  • Robotic manufacturing equipment
  • Experience with large production lines, PFMEAs, and process controls
  • Experience with Time Studies, Line Balancing, Lean Manufacturing, Bottleneck Analysis
