Description
Minimum salary for this position is $6,375. The University of Michigan-Flint invites applications for a part-time faculty position at the Lecturer I level for the period of August 24 through December 16, 2026. The position requires teaching a 3-credit hour undergraduate course.
EDM 343 Ratios and Proportional Relationships covers an in-depth study of ratios, rates, and proportional relationships which are a fundamental part of the middle school mathematics curriculum. The course is scheduled for Tuesdays from 5:30 to 8:15 PM. Instruction will be delivered in-person. The budget for this position is for the fall 2026 term only.

Required Qualifications
Prospective candidates should minimally possess a master’s degree in mathematics education or mathematics, or have relevant experience teaching ratios and proportions to children in grades 6-12 . Graduate work must have been completed within an accredited program. Evidence of relevant teaching experience is required.

Modes of Work
Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan.
