Job Description:

Senior Director (Client Services)

Job Summary:

This senior director-level position will strengthen Epiq’s senior-level leadership, enhancing our national reputation with industry-leading client service and accountability.  The primary requirements of this position include: (a) the ability to build strong relationships with key clients on key engagements; (b) a strong business acumen coupled with experienced oversight and financial stewardship of complex projects; (c) an executive presence both externally (to instill confidence with clients) and internally (to help manage and develop personnel); (d) compelling crisis management skills to lead/collaborate with internal and external stakeholders through real or perceived project difficulties; (e) excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write legal declarations and testify on Epiq’s behalf at court proceedings.   This position will report to the Vice President of Class Action Client Services and will have access to executive leaders as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior liaison on key client engagements, working alongside the senior leadership team to develop executive relationships within the market.
  • Provides legal guidance to project teams and ECARMT management on project specific legal issues.
  • Serve as escalation point for critical client or internal issues.
  • Ability to assist with drafting difficult client communications.
  • Advises and supports Project Managers in calls with clients to address complex issues and difficult subjects that may have legal impacts.
  • Supports escalation response when senior client management (partners, senior partners, etc.) are involved.
  • Able to interact with high-level attorney contacts and third-party filers on designated high-value projects.
  • Intimately knowing and staying current with clients’ business needs and pain points.
  • Stays abreast of account and matter activity in a way that can offer proactive solutions.

Job Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree required.
  • (5-8) years of experience working for a law firm with litigation experience or previous experience servicing and advising law firms.
  • Adept at interacting with senior partners and judges.
  • Ability to negotiate complex issues and come to mutual resolution between clients and Epiq.
  • Demonstrates exceptional client relations, communication and engagement skills.
  • Exhibits executive level presence and accountability.
  • Ability to craft written communications and summaries for clients, peers, executives.
  • Draws from and applies experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks and goals.
  • Possesses a keen attention to detail and ability to gather complete and accurate information, in contexts of varying complexity.

Candidates based in California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York or Washington:

The Compensation range for this role is 139,802.40 - 279,604.80 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
