Grade: 220

Salary: $26.94/hour

Job Duties:

• Responsible for managing, operating, and maintaining a nationally recognized historic site; makes daily operational decisions.
• Responsible for the preparation of all reports and associated documentation relevant to the site and works with other administrative staff in development of site programs and educational workshops; gives direct supervision to 3-5 full-time employees, 3-5 seasonal employees and up to 50 volunteers.
• Oversees staffing, schedules, and supervision of multiple personnel; manages retail store operations so that expenses do not exceed revenue; procures operational materials and resale items; and makes suggestions for capital equipment and capital projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in History, Archeology, Museum Studies, Archival Science or related field and at least one year of work experience in museum administration, historic interpretation, special promotions or an equivalent combination of experience.
• Four years of supervisory experience in a museum or historic site setting.
• Must be able to work weekends and occasional holidays.
• Must have basic computer skills including e-mail and Microsoft Office.
• Must possess/maintain valid Driver's License.
• Must submit to/pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
