Position Specific Description

The Land Financial and Compliance Analyst with NextEra Energy Resources (NEER) conducts complex agreement review and processes a high volume of real estate agreements for payments for the NextEra Energy Resources portfolio of renewable projects, Distributed Generation, Florida Renewables (FPL) and NextEra Energy Transmission (NEET).  The employee will support additional business units and provide proper quantitative and qualitative analysis for land payments. This job coordinates allocation of resources and schedules to ensure the payments are processed in a timely manner and site control is maintained. Additional reporting on expired leases and weekly check run for payments is required.  Required skills and traits include: Strong communication, collaboration, organization, process improvement, decisiveness, ability to take ownership, tact, integrity, attention to detail, empowers others, and leads as a role model.  Collaborates with internal, cross-functional teams to support development as appropriate including, but not limited to, accounting, legal, GIS, Land Services, and Land Contracts.

  • Conducts analyses and prepares reports that provide operational and/or technical support to business operations
  • Conducts quantitative and qualitative research to support medium to large special projects
  • Assists with process design and modification for continuous business improvement
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 3+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
