What You'll Do:

As an Associate Manager, Business Development, you will play a vital role in supporting the agency's new business efforts. You will be involved in all aspects of the pitch process, from initial research to final presentation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting VML business development efforts, owning strategic and day-to-day management of various internal and external projects.
  • Collaborating on and supporting the development of RFIs and RFPs across all categories and capability areas.
  • Assisting in the development of pitch background materials, including prospective client contact and business background research.
  • Spearheading organization throughout the process, from initial kickoff meetings and development of content to ongoing touch bases and final presentation creation and logistics.
  • Organizing creative work; assisting in project management of client outreach deliverables; following up with respective teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Scheduling, creating agendas, and follow-ups for team meetings as needed.
  • Developing and overseeing thoughtful, enticing client outreach, including meetings, presentations, digital communications, and films.
  • Coordinating category knowledge – research, analysis, compilation of new business communications.
  • Maintaining and editing business case histories with up-to-date references and data.
  • Overseeing and organizing the breadth of content produced by the wider new business team, including case studies, RFI and RFP questions and answers, credentials decks, and other relevant materials.
  • Maintaining a centralized content library for easy access and retrieval of new business materials.
  • Ensuring all new business content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with VML's brand messaging and strategic priorities.
  • Collaborating and building trust amongst all internal stakeholders, from creative teams through office services and beyond.

What You'll Need:

  • 0-1 years of experience in a related field, Internship experience preferred.
  • Understanding of how an agency operates, and passionate about immersing yourself in all things VML
  • Strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
