Registered Nurse - Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy NIGHTS

RN – CRRT – NIGHT SHIFT 

$10,000 SIGN ON BONUS**

The Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) team has a NIGHTSHIFT position available, with self-request scheduling, consisting of 72 hours biweekly, with every third weekend and holiday rotations, percentage-based differentials, and sign-on bonuses for eligible candidates. **A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time night shift positions, 2-year commitment required.

CRRT is a dialysis modality for solute management, acid-base stability, and fluid balance control for critically ill patients with acute kidney injury (AKI) in the intensive care unit.  The CRRT Registered Nurse (RN) is a clinician who is specially trained to manage patients receiving CRRT therapy and the management of all clinical components of the extracorporeal equipment and circuitry.  The CRRT RN will autonomously perform CRRT therapy under the direction and in collaboration with Nephrology/Program Manager of the CRRT program.  This RN will provide consistent clinical support for patients to ensure safe and efficient care delivery that includes provision of expert resourcing and clinical support for the multidisciplinary team.

Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily, direct care and management of the CRRT device (priming, initiating, and discontinuing) in all critical care practice areas
• Perform venipunctures, access central venous access devices/ports
• Provides onsite clinical resourcing support for clinical nurses in all practice areas  
• Provide on-call clinical resourcing/emergency management 
• Participates in annual educational competency training for the multidisciplinary CRRT team
• Responsible to provide additional extracorporeal therapies, such as apheresis and/or ECMO when the CRRT census is zero and/or therapies are performed in tandem
• Responsible to provide direct patient bedside care as a Registered Nurse in a critical care environment when the CRRT census is zero

Position Requirements

• BSN required
• Minimum 1-year critical care experience required
• Nursing license in the state of Delaware or a compound state that encompasses Delaware
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required upon hire
• Certification in pediatric and/or critical care nursing preferred
• Pediatric critical care and/or extracorporeal experience preferred
