Join our dynamic Robotics Systems Test team where cutting-edge technology meets rigorous validation.  

The Staff Systems Verification Engineer is a high-level leadership role with a TPM-first focus. As the project lead for identified programs, you will serve as the primary representative for Systems Test to the full cross-functional team. While supported by a system test engineering team, you will provide the guidance, senior leadership, and strategic planning necessary to drive complex robotics programs to closure. 

What will you be doing?

  • Project Management & Strategic Planning 

    • Act as the project lead for key programs within the Robotics organization comprising of multi-component eletrcomechanical and software systems. 

    • Support the full clinical workflow, inclusive of the robotic system and pre-op workflows from a software-oriented, whole-system perspective. 

    • Drive strategic program planning across a global Smith+Nephew test organization and with global third party partners. 

    • Consolidate program statuses to provide a consistent, authoritative message to the broader Robotics organization. 

    Global Coordination & Functional Excellence 

    • Organize and coordinate activities between a globally distributed team. 

    • Drive team standardization towards measuring project status, defining success, and project dashboards. 

    • Mentor and grow junior team members. 

    • Help develop and grow the long-term Systems Test strategy and expand relationships with external partners. 

    Leadership & Governance 

    • Provide high-level technical guidance and clear paths forward for the team during complex discussions. 

    • Ensure all programs maintain strict traceability between requirements and results to support regulatory submissions. 

    • Define and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement. 

What will you need to be successful?

  • BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Software, or Biomedical Engineering, or Computer Science. MS, PhD, or MBA preferred. 

     

    Experience: 

    • 8+ years of experience in delivering medical device solutions to production (5+ years with MS/PhD). 

    • Demonstrated experience acting as a lead or TPM for complex system-level projects. 

    • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
