The Role at a Glance
We are seeking an experienced communications professional to join our team supporting internal and external communications for the Retail Life and Annuity Solutions business at Lincoln. This role is a full-time, in-house position that is responsible for comprehensive communications in support of the Annuities and Operations organizations within the Retail business.
Partnering closely with key stakeholders across the business, this individual will identify opportunities to support business objectives through strategic internal and external communications efforts that drive measurable results.
What you'll be doing
What you’ll do:
- Provide subject matter expertise and consultative communications guidance to senior leaders and internal/external stakeholders on various complex assignments and projects.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, goals and objectives for initiatives, and thoughtfully recommend, develop and execute strategic communication plans and tactics to most effectively reach target internal and external audiences.
- Develop communications content, including, but not limited to, leadership messages, intranet articles, speaker briefs and talking points, video scripts, press releases, social media posts, key messaging documents and more for company-wide programs and initiatives.
- Ensure that communication plans and activities align with overall corporate objectives and are aligned across key internal and external stakeholder groups through ongoing collaboration with colleagues across the communications team and project leads.
- Collaborate with HR business partners to develop and execute communications strategies and tactics to effectively support change management efforts and employee adoption of new and evolving programs.
- Continuously improve processes and practices, bringing innovation and creativity to day-to-day work.
- Partner with several teams internally (Creative Services, Graphic Design, Brand, Video Production, etc.) to execute communications deliverables.
- Develop programs to measure the effectiveness of communications efforts and report out to stakeholders and communications leadership regularly.

Education/experience:
- 5+Years of corporate communications, internal and/or external communications experience (Required)
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)

- Strong project management skills, including critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates ability to identify and recommend process improvements, new tools, etc.
- Demonstrates strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g., managers, peers, and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
- Demonstrates ability to identify causes and solutions for conflict. Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes.
