 JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW

The selected candidate will be responsible for data analysis and usage requirements and focuses solely on data. This includes but is not limited to analyzing key data, understanding the integration points, and the ability to write effective data requirements regarding business usage and assisting in any solution design. This role will also capture data issues during any work efforts with the business teams and provide the issue details, business usage and other important data facts to teams that can correct them. The position will understand and adhere to the enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards and practices documented by the data governance team.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Create, document and manage business data dictionaries and glossaries.
Create, document, and manage business conceptual data artifacts, such as conceptual models, critical data element inventory, and define the data based on business usage
Manage data requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation processes to capture business needs. 
Manage and understand business process efforts that take data in, manipulate the data through business rules and produce data outputs.
Manage multiple requirements gathering efforts at one time and be able to assimilate into cohesive end to end data requirements when there is data overlap.
Communicate effectively with business partners to inform and influence important decisions required regarding strategic data direction.
Promote data governance and architecture
Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements are created for all other policies and standards that apply to data such as privacy, security, and risk, 
Assist Governance Team in capturing metrics that provide insights into effectiveness of data analysis and requirements.
Rationalize and coordinate external data sources to eliminate redundancy and streamline the expense related to those services
Identify and aggregate internal and external data sources 
Coordinate with data owners/stewards to ensure appropriate data accessibility and quality
Work alongside Product and Engineering teams to ensure technical designs meet the data requirements.
Work as part of an Agile system by writing JIRA stories and funneling work into appropriate Engineering teams, acting as the liaison between the business and Engineering through delivery.
Perform root cause analysis to determine root cause of data issues and provide recommendations for remediation. 
Act as a data advisor in Product ensuring automation design, operational processes, and future reporting needs are considered when designing and developing a new product


JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

B.S. or M.S. preferably in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree.
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):

Relevant certifications in product management, machine learning, data science, and other disciplines would be a plus


Experience:

Highly prefer experience with data application for

Pricing – understanding of multi product offering pricing. Pricing of insurance products a plus
Data transformation and transformation across systems
Business process transformation 
Customer modeling for example CLTV
Highly prefer experience digitizing processes an
