This Workamper program is for people who want to live and work at Lake Compounce Amusement Park & Campground during the season (May to the end of December).

The outgoing and service-oriented Housekeeper provides exceptionally clean guestrooms for guests while following Lake Compounce Campground quality standards. The housekeepers are also tasked with responding promptly to guests’ requests and reporting maintenance issues for each cabin.

Lake Compounce Campground Workamper - Seasonal Housekeeper

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

    Workamper Information:

    This program is for people who want to live and work at Lake Compounce Amusement Park & Campground during the season (May to the end of December).

    • Move-in day is May 1, 2025

    • Must have an RV to participate: workampers are provided one partial hookup RV site, including water and electricity 

    • Workers must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by an adult

    • Workampers live in the Lake Compounce campground with access to amenities like laundry, restrooms, showers, and Wi-Fi

    • Workers are required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week during peak season (May 1 – Nov 1) to stay for free

    • Wages vary by department and position

    • Lake Compounce provides uniform shirts

    • Workers will use a scheduling software called Quinyx to view their work schedules

    • The campground is within walking distance of the park, but workers may opt to drive their vehicle to the employee parking lot

    • All campground occupants must follow the campground rules at all times

    • Lake Compounce Campground reserves the right to require a Workamper to change campsite assignments for any reason

    The outgoing and service-oriented Housekeeper provides exceptionally clean guestrooms for guests while following Lake Compounce Campground quality standards. The housekeepers are also tasked with responding promptly to guests’ requests and reporting maintenance issues for each room.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Provide exceptional guest service by treating all guests with courtesy and a smile

    • Respond to all guest requests by delivering any requested items in a timely manner

    • Remove all linens per room and replenish with clean linens

    • Make the beds as dictated by brand standards

    • Remove all trash from trash cans and replace with a clean bag

    • Dust and polish all fixtures and surfaces

    • Ensure that windows and mirrors are clean and free of any residue

    • Immediately report any damages or safety hazards to the maintenance team or lodging leadership

    • Place all dirty linens in the designated laundry area

    • Vacuum and sweep the floors of each room

    • Clean and sanitize all showers, toilets, sinks, counters

    • Properly handle, label, stock and store chemicals and cleaning supplies

    • Protect guest belongings; turn in lost and found items immediately

    • Report cabin status and maintenance problems accurately and in a timely manner

    • Clean and disinfect public areas of the campground including camp store, public restrooms, tending to trash cans, and outdoor walkways, when needed

    • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

    • All other duties assigned by leadership

    Education and Experience:

    • No education requirements for this position

    • Previous work experience is not required

    Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
