Summary/Objective
The Senior Associate – Internal Auditor is responsible for auditing internal controls and evaluating risks related to an organization’s business processes, technology infrastructure and information systems. This role plays a key part in identifying gaps, enhancing system reliability and security, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

- Assist in planning and executing risk-based internal audits across operational, financial, and compliance areas.
- Perform walkthroughs and control testing to assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
- Identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements that are practical and aligned with business needs.
- Prepare clear, concise audit workpapers and documentation in accordance with internal standards.
- Communicate audit findings to stakeholders and support the development of action plans.
- Assist in drafting audit reports and presenting findings to management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain information and validate audit observations.
- Monitor the implementation status of prior audit recommendations.
- Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory developments.
- Support special projects and investigations as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Will provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
Work Requirements

Work Environment
Position may be performed onsite or in hybrid capacity. Team Members approved for hybrid or remote work must meet environmental and connectivity requirements per policy standards.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to speak and communicate clearly
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely

Anticipated travel is less than 20% annually, according to business needs

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in internal audit, IT audit, or related field.
- Certified Internal Auditors (CIA) license
- Solid understanding of auditing principles, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST, or COSO).
- Familiarity with enterprise systems, IT security standards, and common business applications
