About the role

The Administrative Coordinator is primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day front–end operations of a Neurology practice. Working under the direction of the Physician and Nurse Practitioner, the Coordinator is responsible for implementing and maintaining MSHS policies and procedures related to front-end practice operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing the front-end of the Practice; and for performing related duties:
    • Greeting patients, check-in and checkout, collect co-payments, schedule patients, answer phones, address patient concerns, communicate professionally with physician and nurse practitioners 
  • Track medical and office supplies, place orders through department Project Manager as needed
  • Review physician scheduling for accuracy and completeness
  • Review EPIC referral work queues and schedule patients appropriately
  • Assists in the preparation and execution of patient education sessions, lectures, community events and support groups
  • Maintains high quality levels of customer service and data integrity

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a customer service role 
  • Related experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of select software applications, Epic experience preferred
  • Ability to speak and understand Russian is a plus

 

Compensation Statement

 

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $63,828.68 - $74,250.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
