You will play a key role in the delivery of service excellence to our Managed IT Services clients.  <h3>A Day in the Life:</h3> <ul> <li>Act as the go-to technical resource assisting our client with system monitoring, ticket resolution and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and availability</li><li>Work directly with clients on UNIX/Linux technologies</li><li>Work with clients on tasks such as capacity planning, installations, patching, upgrades, configuration and administration of systems on various physical and virtual platforms</li><li>Assist with other technical infrastructure support activities as required</li><li>Participate in group events and discussions with clients, vendors and other system consultants</li><li>Follow the Long View and, where applicable, clients' change management methodology at all times</li><li>Actively work in all monitoring tools</li><li>Participate in monthly patching </li></ul> <h3>What You Bring:</h3> <ul> <li> At least 5 years of operational management experience in enterprise level environments </li><li> Experience with the following:</li><li>o   Management and building of Red Hat (v./6/7/8) systems </li><li>o   Solaris (8/10/11) </li><li>o   SLES (V. 11-15)</li><li>o   OEM support</li><li> Basic knowledge of VMware (6.5/7) and Azure</li><li> Knowledge of fundamental concepts of distributed, complex enterprise deployments including any of the following: </li><li>o   Networking</li><li>o   Communication protocols </li><li>o   VLANs </li><li>o   Multi-tiered environments</li><li>o   Storage/Backups</li><li>o   Hypervisors</li><li>o   Routing</li><li>o   Monitoring</li><li>o   Capacity planning</li><li>o   File systems</li><li>o   Load balancing</li><li>o   Firewalls</li><li>o   Awareness of Security Platforms (CyberArk etc)</li><li>Strong interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Ability and willingness to work in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support</li></ul> <h3>What Makes You Extra Awesome: </h3> <ul> <li>UNIX/Linux certifications</li><li>University degree in Information Technology or related fields</li></ul> <h3>Why Work at Long View?</h3> <ul> <li>Great people and culture </li><li>Career growth – Permanent staff positions, paid training, career life planning, and relocation and travel opportunities</li><li>Interesting work – Be part of exciting projects while accessing all the latest technologies</li><li>Flexible environment – A workplace that values the importance of flexibility for personal/professional growth, happiness and wellness</li></ul>Want to learn more about our culture and life at Long View?
