Step into a vital role at the Brentwood Annex, where your expertise will support essential diagnostic services across Bacteriology, Mycobacteriology, Mycology, and Parasitology. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for performing a range of technical procedures, including urine and blood cultures, gram stains, fungal stains, and BD Max PCR testing. You will also play a key role in troubleshooting laboratory instruments and preparing reagents to ensure accuracy and efficiency in test results.
Salary Range: $53.31/hour - $71.04/hour
In addition to a competitive salary range, this position is also eligible for shift differentials.
Job Qualifications

• Current, California Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Microbiology Scientist license.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of current instrumentation, including BD Bactec FX, bioMerieux Vitek 2 and MS systems, centrifuges, water baths, analytical balance, fume hood, biological safety cabinet, and incubator.
• Strong educational background and advanced training in Microbiology – preferred.
• Previous technical and practical experience in Bacteriology, Mycology, Mycobacteriology, and/or Parasitology – preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation.
