Junior Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a Junior Systems Administrator to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a Systems Administrator on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a Peraton location. As a Systems Administrator on our team, you will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information technology (IT) systems. You will also respond to requests for new systems to meet capacity and user requirements; and determine required power, space, cooling, and funding to meet these goals.

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and five (5) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.   DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required. 
• Additional Domain Experience:   
  • Computer Network Operations - Must have at least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in Modern operating systems and network architectures.  
  • Information Assurance - Must have at least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation. Architecture development and design. Risk Assessments. IA Metrics gathering.  
• Experience with the Linux OS.
• Experience with Splunk software.
• Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

• Ability to work independently and in groups to complete tasks bounded by constraints.
• Ability to track progress against established baselines to resolve technical challenges and meet customer expectations.
• Strong writing and communication skills.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
