Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Bridge Project Design Engineer IV for employment in the Houston (Katy), Tx. office.

The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepares technical specification sections.
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Ability to pass MVR check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree.
- Successful passing of the SE/FE exam
- 6+ years of bridge design and plan development experience
- Project experience in Texas related to TxDOT and/or local bridge design project work.
- PE license in state of Texas or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
- Proficiency in software such as MicroStation, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, MathCAD, and MDX
- Experience in the plan production of transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing.
- Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software)
- Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable codes
- Knowledge of 3D finite element software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, SAP2000, etc. is a plus.
- Ability to do occasional field work (site visits and inspections) and travel.

- Offered rate of compensation for Houston, TX. will be based on the individual education, qualifications, experience , and work location. The salary range for this position is $80,756.40 to $149,399.34
