The Royal Caribbean Group’s Royal Caribbean International Brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Financial Analyst supporting Hotel Operations on the Finance Team reporting to the Lead Financial Analyst
This position sits on-site in Miami, FL.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for conducting and coordinating various analyses as determined by Senior Management in support of operations decision making. Identification of opportunities to improve operating results through financial analysis and development of enhanced management information systems are key activities. Effective communication of this information to Senior Management and the respective operational groups is critical to the success of this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities to improve operating performance through information gathering and analysis.
- Design models for monthly / quarterly / yearly forecasts in support of operations decision making.
- Analyze operating results by decision-relevant variables.
- Summarize variance investigations and assist in the development of action plans.
- Formulate efficient research plans for analyzing large amounts of data.
- Design controlled experiments to quantify operating relationships.
- Assist in the development and implementation of benchmark reports for operating groups.
- Summarize trends and relationships through graphs, schedules, and memoranda’s.
- Quantify performance improvement opportunities.
- Responsible for "special project" initiatives as defined by senior management.
- Responsible for the plan, forecast and variances for budgets > $100M.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field, required, MBA Preferred.
- 2 to 4 year’s experience.
- Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of operational personnel.
- Strong PC skills are required.
- Must have the ability to think independently and explain complex solutions in a simple manner.
- Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Hyperion EPM and Oracle JD Edwards Oneworld is helpful.
