What You Will Do:
Respond to and support emergency situations, including containment, repair, cleanup, and preventative actions to mitigate risk and protect the environment.
Perform a wide range of pipeline repairs (e.g., sleeving, stopple, emergency repairs) in accordance with company procedures and standards.
Complete tasks that maintain pipeline integrity, including launching and receiving inspection tools, clearing casings, and installing test leads.
Conduct safe and effective line crossings by coordinating one calls, locating infrastructure, engaging utilities and landowners, and staking lines.
Maintain strict adherence to all safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements while performing field activities.
Achieve and maintain Operator Qualification (OQ) and complete required training to independently perform pipeliner tasks and support oversight of non-qualified personnel.
Provide operational support as required, including contractor inspection, temporary supervisory coverage, and additional tasks to support pipeline operations.
What You Have:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current Driver’s License and a clean driving history
Qualification to secure a CDL Class A Driver’s License with endorsements for air brakes, hazardous materials, and tank vehicles.
Should live within 25 miles of the reporting location, unless agreed upon by management.
Competence and experience in pipeline maintenance operating procedures
Basic understanding and use of computers
Working Conditions:
Field work can include long hours under various extremes of weather involving strenuous physical labor.
Travel required up to 10%.
On call (alcohol free) is required.
Physical Requirements (include but are not limited to):
Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 85 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (Up to 100 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
Mental Requirements (include but are not limited to):
Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
Salary:
$37.68 hourly/USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
