Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking a Satellite Engineer (Experienced, Senior, or Lead) with technical knowledge, expertise, and leadership for payload mechanical engineering to join our team in El Segundo, CA. This individual would also have CAD design processes and techniques experience, as well as RF transmission line design and products.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

• Develops, maintains and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

• Performs, integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

• Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.

• Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.

• Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

• Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

• Experienced, Level 3: Typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications

• Senior, Level 4: Typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications

• Lead, Level 5: Typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications

• Prior experience working with RF Communication systems

• 1+ years of experience in satellites development and delivery

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

• 2 years of experience in an engineering job/function, preferably Mechanical Design in nature

• 2 years Computer Aided Design experience, prefer CREO

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range for experienced level: $96,050 - $129,950

Summary pay range for senior level: $120,700 - $163,300

Summary pay range for lead level: $143,650 - $194,350
