The Business Analyst – Enterprise Systems is responsible for the support, optimization and integration of critical business applications utilized across the enterprise, including but not limited to Labor Scheduling, Resident Onboarding and Electronic Health Records (EHR). This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure these systems align with operational objectives, regulatory requirements and enhance overall service delivery.

- Support and maintain core business applications used in communities across the enterprise, ensuring smooth operation and alignment with business goals.
- Configure and maintain application workflows and settings to ensure they align with evolving business needs.
- Work cross-functionally with IT, department leaders and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and operation of business systems.
- Assist in testing updates, patches and new features, ensuring minimal disruptions and successful deployments.
- Monitor application performance, identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to optimize system functionality.
- Troubleshoot functional and technical issues, escalating complex problems to vendors or IT teams when necessary.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather feedback on support issues & enhancement ideas and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Analyze data from core applications to support business inquiries and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Document processes, issues and resolutions to maintain a clear record of operations and ensure consistent service.
- Participate in key projects, including system upgrades, vendor evaluations and new system integrations, to improve business operations.
- Engage in vendor reviews on a quarterly or semiannual basis to evaluate performance, address issues and ensure contractual compliance.
- Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulating authorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Core Competencies
- Strong ability to support and maintain and core business applications, ensuring optimal system performance and troubleshooting issues when necessary.
- Experience in participating in system upgrades, testing new features and managing deployments.
- Skilled in gathering feedback from business stakeholders, collaborating with IT teams and working with external vendors to ensure seamless operation and continuous enhancement of core business applications.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business Analytics or Data Science.
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis or application support, preferably within the senior living, healthcare or hospitality sectors.
- Proficiency with enterprise applications like Electronic Health Records (EHR), Labor Scheduling and Resident Management Systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and state licensing regulations.
- Experience with system testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-implementation support.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, demonstrating problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
