Summary

 

The Automation group at Skyworks in Woburn, MA is seeking a 2024 Summer/Fall 6 month co-op to join and support our Fault Detection and Classification (FDC) team. The Automation FDC co-op will work closely with the Process and the Equipment Engineers and the Factory Automation support team.  FDC is a key component of our continuous improvement activities to reduce process variability and improve device performance and yield in the WOB GaAs semiconductor Fab; the Automation co-op will be able to significantly contribute to the success of these strategies as well as positively impact the overall business success at Skyworks Woburn.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Work with the FDC HW/SW supplier and support with connecting FDC to tools in the Fab to enable FDC report setup and data analysis
  • Support with external sensor installations to tools in the Fab
  • Statistical analysis of critical parameters to enable Advanced Process Interdiction
  • Work with Unit Process and Integration engineers to establish correlations between inline FDC and end of line device parameters

 

Qualifications

 

  • Full time student pursuing a BS/MS in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering,  Information Technology or related field
  • Experience with scripting languages or Python
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be enrolled in a college or University for the full duration of the position, June – December 2024.
  • Ability to work independently or within team environment
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Power Point)

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
